The Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition needs you!

  • The Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition needs your help to move forward with projects that will increase bicycling awareness, promote education, reduce accidents, and in general make it easier and more fun for all of us who bicycle.
  • Support Bici Centro activities
  • Promote safer biking to local schools
  • Participate in Santa Barbara's Earth Day
  • Help CycleMAYnia and other events reach more people
  • Maintain this website and Facebook on the Internet
  • Protect bicyclists legal rights to roads
  • Promote Santa Barbara County as a bicycling destination
  • Promote bicycling to visitors as part of the "Santa Barbara Car Free" program
  • Provide transportation planners and consultants advice on bicyclist safety

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We always seek to recruit volunteers who, after training, help with:

  • Mechanic ‘Coaching’ at our regular bi-lingual “Open Shops”
  • Bicycle Valet ongoing through the season 
  • Event volunteer roles on an ongoing basis
  • Shop reset and administrative tasks -which are endless…
  • Acting as support to our education staff for youth or adult classes
  • serve in one of our 6 bicycle coalition committees to help lead our activities
